Introduction
The Emergency First Aid at Work course will provide the knowledge and confidence to administer First Aid. This First Aid course designed for anyone looking to be a qualified Emergency First Aider.
Ideal for low-risk environments (offices, shops).
Emergency First Aid at Work training will help to bring you or your staff to the level recommended by the HSE, meeting all legal requirements and compliance.
It provides training for a wide range of scenarios and by the end of this course you will have the knowledge, ability and confidence to administer First Aid effectively.
For higher risk environments (e.g., construction, manufacturing, or chemical plants), the Full Award in First Aid at Work course will provide the level of required First Aid training
Training will include how to:
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider
- Assess an incident
- Manage an unresponsive casualty
- Perform Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
- Manage a casualty with external bleeding
- Manage a casualty who is in shock
- Manage a casualty with a minor injury
Progression
Holders may wish to progress further completing the full (3 day) First Aid at Work Award.
